Finally! this beastie took me 3 days to finish it....here is a 'WIPshot' I posted;

Anyone who has watched the movie 'Legend of the Guardians' might recognize this scene :)
images4.fanpop.com/image/photo…

Where Soren takes a lamp, flies through a forest fire to save the day by destroying the enemy's plan.

This movie helped remind me how much I love winged animals...this is why I made Moja :lol: Anyway, I put my everything into this drawing! Its my first attempt at back-lighting and I experimented with a lot of new brushes I've found across dA. I'm really happy with how the fur and fire turned out and forgive the background for being quite...undetailed? Moja is the focus so...yeah :la:

Please don't be scared to critique me, a friend gave me some friendly criticism the other day and it really put me on track! I love being told where I can get better so please don't be scared to speak your mind :aww:

The inspiration for this character came from the song 'To The Sky' by owl city from The legeond of the guardians;

To start all of this off, I want to let you know this is my 100% honest opinion. I hope it serves you well. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

-I will begin this Critique by saying you have out-done yourself with the fir texture around this drawing's neck. I absolutely love that texture, it makes me feel like I am right in front of it, seeing the soft, smooth fur.

-The fire is very believable. I love how you added a small bit of wind so the fire wasn't right on it's body.

-The only thing I say you could work on, is by thinning the wings in ward when it gets closer to the body. A wing's bottom feathers are not attached together, or on the body, but they do need to move freely. I hope you understand. :3
